MIRACLE EGG PRESERVATION PEARLS

Egg freezing radically increases the chances of using noticeably younger eggs. Clinically proven for a near perfect preservation and thaw – successful pregnancy may or may not be included.

The chance that a frozen egg from a healthy, fertile young woman will result in a live birth in the future is estimated to be around just 6.5%.

Clinicians suggest that if you are aged 35 or under, freezing 15 eggs would give you the best chance of one successful pregnancy. This is due to the statistical chances that you will then have at least one egg that successfully thaws, fertilises and becomes a good enough embryo to be implanted.

The most recent European research shows that if you are undertaking egg freezing for non-medical reasons you are likely to successfully retrieve and freeze around 8 eggs in one cycle of stimulation. (age dependent) The probability of success rises with the number of eggs. It is for this reason that clinics may suggest you undertake more than one cycle of egg freezing.

As elective egg freezing is still such a new offer, many of the people who have frozen their eggs for later use have not yet returned to use them, and so clinics do not yet have enough data on success rates. But what they do know is that the technology works, and that the younger the eggs are when they are extracted, the more successful the process likely to be.
